Since launch, GatherMate2, HandyNotes and Skada have gained Forever versions, and Questie, Plater, Deadly Boss Mods and Bartender4 have shipped updates. WeakAuras, Cell and OmniCC still had no Forever file when we rechecked on 5 November. Update everything in your add-on manager before you go looking for a fix.

We rechecked the most-used add-ons that publish on GitHub, reading each one's latest release and TOC files. Add-ons that only publish on CurseForge or Wago still show the date of their last check on their page.

New Forever versions

Add-on Release Date
GatherMate2 1.52.4 3 November
HandyNotes v1.6.32 3 November
Skada Damage Meter v2.2.5 5 November

All three had no Forever file in our 1 November check, so their pages and older articles said they were missing.

Updated this week

The Questie update matters most if you're seeing quests that aren't there. Its Forever data is still filling in: see Questie not working.

Still no Forever version

WeakAuras, Cell, OmniCC, Postal and Spy had no Forever file on 5 November. TradeSkillMaster lists a new file under Forever on CurseForge, but we couldn't confirm its game version, so check it before you rely on it. What to use instead is in add-ons not working yet, WeakAuras in Forever and OmniCC.

Did the interface number change

We haven't seen a sign that it did. The releases above from 3 to 5 November still list interface 16001, the beta's number. To check your own client, type /dump select(4, GetBuildInfo()) in chat. If an add-on shows Out of date, update it before you tick the load-anyway box: see loading out-of-date add-ons.

Game problems that look like add-on problems

  • Boats and zeppelins not arriving: Blizzard confirmed it and added portals near docks. It isn't your route add-on.
  • Threat numbers missing: Threat Plates says threat values are secret to add-ons in Forever, so exact numbers may not be available.
  • Keybinds or settings resetting: players are reporting it on Blizzard's bug board. See settings not saving.

Blizzard's own fixes are on our updates page, which picks up developer replies automatically.
