Best addons for WoW Forever: our top 10

The best addons for WoW Forever, in the order we'd install them: BugSack, Details!, DBM, Leatrix Plus, TomTom, Bartender4, Baganator, Plater, Auctionator and Questie. All ten have a Forever build. This ranking is our opinion, from what each does for a fresh character, and we haven't played the live game yet: it opens on 4 November.

1. BugSack (with BugGrabber): catches Lua errors quietly. In launch month, install this first.
2. Details! Damage Meter: a damage meter, and the quickest way to see what killed you.
3. Deadly Boss Mods (DBM): boss warnings. Its dungeon add-on has modules for Forever's new dungeons. DBM vs BigWigs.
4. Leatrix Plus: dozens of small fixes in one panel: faster loot, auto repair, less clutter.
5. TomTom: a waypoint arrow that needs no quest data, so it works in every zone.
6. Bartender4: action bars you can size and fade, with stance and form pages. Bartender4 vs Dominos.
7. Baganator: sorting and search across your characters. With the Enhanced preset's one bag, this one's optional.
8. Plater Nameplates: readable cast bars on enemy nameplates, for tanks and interrupters.
9. Auctionator: shopping lists and quick posting once you start selling.
10. Questie: quest pins on the map. Last on the list only because its Forever data is still filling in.

Not on the list

• WeakAuras: no Forever version.
• ElvUI: excellent if you want a full replacement, but its Forever support is described as initial, so it's a choice rather than a must. ElvUI in Forever.
