Highly configurable nameplates with clear cast bars, threat colours, debuff tracking and optional scripts.

Source code for World of Warcraft addon Plater Nameplates.

From the author's GitHub page

Plater replaces the bars over enemies' heads with nameplates you can shape almost any way you like. Out of the box it shows cast bars, threat colours for tanks and your own debuffs clearly.

Its scripting and "mods" let advanced users highlight specific casts or enemies. You don't need any of that to benefit from the default profile.

First setup

Pick your role on first launch so threat colours make sense, then adjust only size and font. Import a shared profile string if you want a ready-made look.

Tips

  • Profiles export as strings: keep a copy before big updates.

Installing

Download it from the author's page (links under Quick Facts), extract it into _forever_/Interface/AddOns and restart the game. The install guide covers the folder, add-on managers and what to do if it doesn't show up.
