Collects Lua errors quietly and shows them in a window when you want to read them.

A simple display for collected errors in World of Warcraft.

BugSack works with BugGrabber: BugGrabber catches errors, BugSack shows them through a minimap button and a readable window, with a count of how many times each happened. Instead of a popup interrupting you, you read errors after the fight.

When you report a bug to an addon author, copy the first error from BugSack as text.

First setup

Install BugSack and BugGrabber together. Turn off the game's own "Display Lua errors" option so only BugSack reports them.

Installing

Download it from the author's page (links under Quick Facts), extract it into _forever_/Interface/AddOns and restart the game. The install guide covers the folder, add-on managers and what to do if it doesn't show up.

Does BugSack work in WoW Forever?

Works. BugSack has a Forever version on the author's own page. The TOC lists interface 16001 and the release is packaged for Forever. (Checked 2 Nov 2026.)

Where do I download BugSack?

From the author's official page on CurseForge. We never host add-on files. Put it in the Forever AddOns folder, not retail.
