WoW Forever UI add-ons come in two kinds: full packages that replace everything, and small add-ons that each change one part. All those below ship a Forever version at the time of writing, unless we say otherwise. We haven't tested them on the live client yet, and each page has the latest status.

Full UI packages

  • ElvUI: a full replacement in one package. Its Forever status and profile import have their own article, and version 16.00 calls its support "initial".
  • NDui: another package with many modules built in. It has a separate Forever branch and release file.
  • RealUI: a minimal interface.
  • EllesmereUI: an interface editor, pitched by its author on performance and customisation.

One part at a time

Job Add-ons

Button look Masque, with skins as separate add-ons

Party and raid frames VuhDo, Grid2
Bags Baganator
Moving frames MoveAny, Edit Mode Expanded
Scaling PeaversScaler

Which to choose

Start with the game. Forever has Edit Mode, and many players won't need more, as the UI setup guide explains.

Choose small add-ons if you only dislike a part or two. If one breaks after a patch, the rest of your screen keeps working. A five-add-on setup is a good target.

Choose a full package if you want one look and one settings window, and don't mind updating it promptly. Our ElvUI vs a modular UI comparison goes through the trade.

Launch week advice

Keep it small in the first days. Authors will be pushing fixes, and every add-on you add is one more to update. The best UI add-ons list has the reason for each pick.
