The RestedXP add-on works in WoW Forever. Its TOC has listed Forever's interface number since September, and its releases this week mention Forever guide work. How useful it is depends on whether a route exists for the zones you're in, because Forever changed and added zones. See its add-on page for our latest check.
The add-on and the guides are two different things
The add-on is the guide window and the arrow. The routes are what it reads. Some routes are free and some are paid on RestedXP's own site, so check there before you count on a full 1 to 60 route. Download it only from the author's official pages, which are linked on its add-on page. Copies passed around elsewhere are a good way to get your account stolen.
What its recent releases say about Forever
RestedXP's GitHub releases from 3 and 4 November list Forever work, such as a dungeon setup clean-up for Forever and Forever guides switched on. That's a good sign the routes are being kept up for the new world. We haven't followed a full route on the live client ourselves.
Free alternatives that work now
- Ding: a leveling guide written for Forever, with routes for both factions and its own waypoint arrow.
- Azeroth Pilot Reloaded: another step-by-step guide with a Forever version.
- Questie for quest markers on the map. Its Forever data is still filling in.
- Shortest Path Forever for the fastest way between quest hubs, boats included.
Pair it with
Waypoint UI added RestedXP support in 1.7.4, so its marker in the game world can follow your guide step. For the rest of a leveling setup, see leveling add-ons for 1 to 60. Our sister site has a leveling route by level band built from Blizzard's own zone list.
