Waypoint UI works in WoW Forever. It ships a Forever TOC, and version 1.7.5 came out on 5 November. It draws your waypoint inside the game world, with the distance and what's there, so you look ahead instead of at the minimap. See its add-on page for our latest check.
What changed for Forever
From its release notes:
- 1.7.3: waypoint size adjusted for Forever, and the pinpoint threshold set to 100 yards by default.
- 1.7.4: support for RestedXP, so the marker can follow your guide step.
- 1.7.5: Ctrl-click a map pin to remove it, Ctrl-click the minimap to place one, a movable navigation display, and options for what it tracks (quests, map pins, points of interest, guide pins).
Using it
- Track a quest, or place a map pin on the world map.
- Waypoint UI shows the marker in the world. Closer than the pinpoint threshold, it switches to a pinpoint on the spot itself.
- Ctrl-click a pin to remove it.
We built this from the author's notes and haven't tested every option on the live client.
Good to pair it with
- TomTom for
/waycoordinates. - Shortest Path Forever for whole routes with boats and flights.
- RestedXP or another leveling guide.
