To change the UI scale in WoW Forever, turn on Use UI Scale in the graphics settings and move the slider until text is readable. On a 1440p or 4K screen the default often looks small, so this is usually the first thing to change. We haven't checked the menu wording on the live client, so look for it under System and Graphics.
Make everything bigger or smaller
- Press
Escand open Options. - Find Use UI Scale in the graphics settings and turn it on.
- Move the slider a little at a time, then look at your bars and chat.
If the slider can't go small enough, /console uiScale 0.7 sets a value directly. That command comes from other WoW versions, and we haven't tested it on Forever, so use the slider first.
Make one frame bigger
If only one thing is too small, leave the global scale alone. Open Edit Mode, click the frame and use its size slider. Forever's Edit Mode covers the main frames. Edit Mode Expanded adds more frames and options if yours isn't there, and Movable Menu Frames moves and resizes the XP bar, bag buttons and micromenu.
For sharing a whole layout, see UI import codes.
If you use a UI add-on
Full UI replacements usually have a scale setting of their own, and it can override what the game does.
- ElvUI: type
/ecand look for its scaling option. Our ElvUI guide has the rest. - EllesmereUI: use its own options window. Its author doesn't describe scaling in detail, and we haven't tested it.
- Add-ons with their own window: many have a separate scale slider, so check there if one add-on looks wrong and the rest look fine.
When it won't stick
If the scale resets after you log out, the game may not be able to save your settings. Work through settings not saving.
