Hekili doesn't work in WoW Forever. It's made for retail's current expansion, and there's no Forever branch or file. Its last release we found is v11.2.5-1.0.0 from November 2025. Don't force it to load with "load out of date": its rotations are written for retail specs and talents, not Forever's. See its add-on page for our latest check.
MaxDps
MaxDps is the other well-known rotation helper. Its author added Forever detection to the code in late October, but no Forever release had shipped when we checked. It looks like it's on the way. Its page will change when a release lands.
Why rotation helpers are slow to arrive
Forever uses the retail client's add-on rules, which hide some combat information from add-ons. A rotation helper needs exactly that information: cooldowns, buffs and resources. Authors have to rework parts of it, and the classes are different too. See our Forever add-on API notes.
What to use now
- Your class page. Our sister site has rotations and priorities for every spec, such as the class guides on WoW Forever Classes.
- WeakAuras-style alerts. See does WoW Forever have WeakAuras for where that stands.
- Proc tracking. TellMeWhen shows icons for cooldowns and procs, which covers much of what a helper does.
- Cooldowns. See the cooldown manager guide.
Our class lists in best add-ons for every class show what does work for each one.
