To import an ElvUI profile in WoW Forever, type /ec, open Profiles, create a new profile, choose Import Profile and paste the string, then /reload. Back up your own profile first. ElvUI's Forever support started at version 16.00, and its team calls that "initial" support, so check you're on the newest version before you import anything.
Step by step
- Update ElvUI from the official Tukui page. It isn't on the big add-on sites.
- Type
/ec, open Profiles and export your current profile. Paste the text somewhere safe. - Create a new profile so your old one stays untouched.
- Choose Import Profile and paste the string.
/reload, then check each part of your screen.
Do retail profiles work
A retail string can load, but expect gaps. Forever doesn't have every frame retail has, and the profile may expect plugins you don't have. A string built for Forever saves you a lot of tidying.
Where to find profiles
Players share strings on UI sites and in creators' video descriptions. We don't host strings ourselves. Before you paste one in:
- Only use strings from people you trust.
- Look for a date after 13 October 2026, when ElvUI added Forever support.
- Check which plugins it needs. ElvUI EltruisM is one with ready-made layouts.
If it looks broken
Turn off ElvUI's plugins first, since they often lag behind ElvUI itself. Then go back to your saved profile, and see catching Lua errors if the errors keep coming.
For a lighter option, read ElvUI alternatives. If you only want to share a default UI layout, you don't need ElvUI at all: see UI import codes.
