WoW Forever Questie alternative: what to use while its data fills in
Updated 2026-11-03
The simplest Questie alternative in WoW Forever is the Enhanced preset's quest objective areas, plus TomTom for an arrow. No add-on replaces Questie exactly, and Questie itself does have a Forever release. Its team says many Forever quests still show incorrectly while the database fills in, so you may want a backup rather than a replacement. If it's misbehaving, try the Questie fixes first.
We haven't tested these on the live client yet.
| Option | What you get | The catch |
|---|---|---|
| Enhanced preset | Objective areas on the map | No quest givers or turn-ins marked |
| TomTom | A waypoint arrow | You supply the coordinates |
| RestedXP Guides | Step-by-step leveling routes | Check that routes cover Forever's new zones |
| Azeroth Pilot Reloaded | A route-style leveling guide | Same check. Its release ships a Forever file, but route coverage is up to the author |
| Zygor Guides | Paid in-game guides | Forever guides are due in November through its own client, and we haven't seen a released build |
| Dungeon Quest Atlas Forever | Dungeon quests, bosses and loot in one window | Dungeon quests only |
Which to pick
- You just want to see where to go: the Enhanced preset costs nothing and needs no updates. It's a setting, so you can switch to it under Game Menu → Options. See Classic or Enhanced.
- You want a guide telling you what to do next: try a route add-on, and stop if it sends you somewhere that doesn't match the game.
- You mainly miss quest givers on the map: keep Questie and update often, since its data is the part that's changing.
Why data matters
Forever adds more than 1,000 new quests, and a quest add-on can only show what's in its database. That applies to every add-on here that relies on quest data. TomTom needs none, which is why it's useful from the first hour.
