Yes, Auctionator works in WoW Forever: Wago lists a Forever release, built for client 1.60.1. We last checked on 1 November, before launch, so update it in your add-on manager before you rely on it. Its add-on page shows the current status.
Where to download it
- Wago: the Auctionator page lists the Forever file.
- GitHub: the source is at TheMouseNest/Auctionator.
Pick the file marked for Forever, not Classic or Retail. If your manager doesn't list it, see Forever not showing in CurseForge or install it by hand.
What it does
- Shopping lists, so you can buy the same set of items without typing each search.
- Quick posting just under the current lowest price.
- A price history built from your own scans.
- Auction prices in item tooltips.
Why your prices are empty at first
Auctionator's price history only comes from your own scans. Forever's economy has only just started, so everyone begins with nothing. Scan regularly in the first weeks, because early prices can move a lot and a few old numbers can mislead you.
A simple first setup
- Install it and log in. If it shows "Out of date", check for an update first, then read how to load out-of-date add-ons.
- Open the auction house and run a scan.
- Make a shopping list for what you buy often, such as herbs, ore or cloth for your profession.
- Post one item to learn the flow before you post a stack of them.
Players on Blizzard's bug board have reported auction house deposits that look flat whatever the item is worth, and items not found in searches. Unverified, with no staff reply when we checked on 5 November. If a search looks wrong, check it in the default auction house window before you blame the add-on.
Auctionator or TradeSkillMaster?
Use Auctionator if you want quick buying and selling without much setup. TradeSkillMaster suits you better if you plan to run the auction house as a business. See gold-making add-ons for the rest.
