VuhDo works in WoW Forever. The Forever version is part of its main build: version 3.220 (5 November) has a VuhDo_Camelot.toc with Forever's interface number, 16001. Don't pick the file ending in -vanilla. That one is for Classic Era and won't load in Forever. See its add-on page for our latest check.
Which download
| File | For |
|---|---|
v3.220 |
Retail and Forever |
v3.220-vanilla |
Classic Era only |
Add-on managers pick the right one once you've selected the Forever install. If you download by hand from VuhDo's GitHub, take the release without -vanilla.
What isn't working yet
VuhDo's release notes list features that don't work under the add-on restrictions Blizzard brought in for Midnight:
- overheal text and the Life Text highlight
- several hit point options, such as showing effective health
- raid icon bars and text colour filters
- Emergency Mode
- incoming spell tracing (spells targeted at someone)
Forever ships the same client and add-on rules as retail, so expect the same list. We haven't tested each one on the live client. Our Forever add-on API notes explain why these break.
Fix spells landing on yourself
The author's notes also mention a Blizzard bug that breaks spell targeting. Their workaround: open Game Menu > Options > Gameplay > Combat, untick Auto Self Cast and set Self Cast Key to None. Try it if heals go to you instead of the frame you clicked.
First setup
- Type
/vdto open the options. - Run the setup wizard for a starting layout.
- Set your mouse bindings under key and spell assignments. See click-casting if you've never used it.
Alternatives
Grid2 has a Forever release and is lighter. Cell had no Forever file when we checked. For the full list, see best healer add-ons and raid frames for December.
