Forever has Roleplay and Roleplay PvP rulesets from launch. Roleplay communities in WoW have relied on profile addons for years: they let you write a description, history and current status that other players with a compatible addon can read when they target you.
The addons
Total RP 3 is the most complete: profile pages, a character's current state ("in character, looking for a scene"), map scans for other RP players, and more.- MyRolePlay is lighter and closer to the old-school profile format.
The two are designed to read each other's basic profile fields, so you don't need everyone in your group to use the same one. Check each page here for the Forever status before installing.
Writing a profile people read
- Lead with what someone sees. Height, build, clothing, one distinctive detail. Three or four sentences.
- Keep history short. A paragraph is plenty. Leave mysteries for scenes.
- Use the status fields. "Out of character" and "Looking for contact" save a lot of awkward whispers.
- Forever's world is new. Skyborne, Zephras Isle and the Riverglades didn't exist in older lore. Be open about what your character knows; nobody is an expert yet.
Two-part names
Forever gives characters two-part names unique within a region. Your profile's displayed name can differ from your character name, which is handy if your first choice was taken.
A note on etiquette
Profile addons are text that other players wrote. Treat them like any public chat: report anything abusive using the game's own tools.
