Most in-game BiS and loot add-ons need Forever data before they're reliable, so use a website for your best-in-slot list and an add-on for dungeon loot. Our sister site has class and spec guides with BiS tabs. This page is about the add-on side, which we haven't yet tested on the live client.
| Add-on | What it does | Status when written |
|---|---|---|
| Dungeon Quest Atlas Forever | Dungeon quests, bosses and loot tables in a Dungeon Journal-style window | Ships a Forever file |
| AtlasLootClassic | Loot tables for dungeons, raids, crafting and reputation | No Forever version |
| PeaversBestInSlot | BiS details in item tooltips, using Archon data | No Forever file |
Each page has the current status.
Why this is harder in Forever
An add-on's loot data has to match the game. Forever has new dungeons and changed loot, so tables and lists from another version can be wrong, even when the add-on itself loads. Tooltip BiS data also depends on a source that covers Forever at all.
Lists made for other versions don't carry over, including those for Classic or WotLK. The gear is different.
Lists change early on
With raids opening on 9 December, a BiS list now means dungeons, quests, crafting and reputation. Treat it as a guide and expect changes as players learn what's strong. Don't sell a good item because a list from launch week says something else is better.
A workable setup
- Pick a BiS list on a website.
- Note the two or three items you want next, and where they come from.
- Use an in-game loot window for those dungeons.
- Compare upgrades in your tooltips.
